This game has better gameplay and camera movements than the last two, so its even more fun to play with. And.... the story is good as well. Its a mad game!

4 out of 5 stars GoW3-Great but not my type   May 28, 2010

as a kid i was fascinated by the world of greek mythoogy. so it was with great excitement i discovered the first few levels of god of war 3. numerous reviews on the net will agree that this game has probably the best graphics a ps3 has had yet to offer. the amimations of characters and enemies of all sorts is staggering. however, beat 'm all games are not really my type of games. god of war involves mainly hacking down the gamepad buttons repeatedly for hours on end to beat and kill the thousands of enemies constantly around you. i thought it became extremely repetitive. as you walk round a corner, you'll too often think to yourself "here we go again, whata surprise, another 30 enemies to kill, i just killed 20 five minutes ago". if u closed your eyes and hit all the buttons randomly in frantic fashion, it would have the same effect. you get the odd interesting monsters to kill, which look cool.
i stopped playing the game after approximately 5 hours as it was getting very boring. its just kill kill kill, alone against the rest of the world, drowning in your own paranoia.i'm not against gore violence, but this game seriously lacks a bit of comedy. everything is so serious.
i bought it originally after reading all the praising reviews. i agree its a great game, but not my type. it is not better than the amazing assassins creed 2, uncharted 2, modern warfare 2, gta 4, mgs4 and fifa 10.

4 out of 5 stars Great version of more of the same   May 23, 2010

GoW3 is great fun. Kratos is an awesome protagonist and the cinematography-like visuals are incredible. A good amount of pressing square to hit things, some interesting puzzles though none have really stumped me so far and mostly well designed boss-battles. I was concerned having fought Hades, which was disappointing, that this game was not going to live up to the hype, but since then it has been really good fun, I would highly recommend it.

3 out of 5 stars The hype did'nt fool me.   May 19, 2010

First things first, the graphics in this game are superb, the backgrounds are amazing. But that's the problem, there's no interaction with them at all leaving an extremely linear game, where most of the time its just get from A to B. I cant understand when people call it epic when there's no exploration. Fallout 3 is epic, Zelda is epic not this its just nice wallpaper. Also the fighting system is really unsatisfying, its supposed to be brutal and hardhitting but because of their weapons choice it feels like your hitting the enemy with rope. The main character Kratos acts like a 13 year old going through puberty, all the voice acting sounds like the characters are constantly in a bad mood and im afraid that the American voices just dont go well with the game. I have had a bit fun with this game in parts but its so unsatisfying overall and the cut scene script is awful, who did they hire to write it,a chimp? This game definately was aimed at the young teen market, because it feels really purile at times, which is odd seeing as it has an 18 certificate.

By the way im not a fanboy, i own all three consoles and try to play all the best games on them, but this game really disappointed me. If you want a good slasher on the PS3 I would recomend Devil May Cry 4 or Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.

Forget the negative reviews, I don't need to say that this game (and the other two before it)are at the pinnacle of their class.
