5 out of 5 stars Battlefield, The Epic Win!   August 23, 2010
xAvengedDarkx
BF:BC2 Was More Than I Expected For Expectations Of A Typical War Game. It Has Its Own Style When Playing, Unlike Many Other FPS Games Which Copy The Style And Controls Of The Smash Hit, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Another Brilliant Feature Of This Game, Is That The Online Pay Has Many UN-Lockable Fantastic Weapons To Choose From And Extras For Your Weapons Too. The Perks Are Very Different On This Game Compared To The Call Of Duty Series, But They Have Been Reworked For The Better.
This Game Has To Be DICE' Best Game To BE Released, And This In Turn Gives High Hopes For Soon To Be Released Medal Of Honour. When The Vietnam Expansion Comes To PSN Store, There Will Be Nothing That Can Beat This Game!

5 out of 5 stars Best Battlefield yet!   August 20, 2010

This game is awesome!

The squad system is brilliant, means you have to use some tactics to win!
One of the best multilayer games I have played, and its pretty hard for people to camp or be idiots!

Story is good, but more like an interactive film than a game.

Overall, 9.5/10, there could be more maps!

4 out of 5 stars Battlefield Bad Company 2: Online   August 13, 2010
Mr. Tyler Mills
Battlefield Bad Company 2: Online Review

Ever since the original Battlefield Bad Company we've had a large craving for destructive environments in our FPS's. People liked the difference to call of duty and the war-like simulation which make it unique, also the ability to fly helicopters and use vehicles.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 does not disappoint. From the start you see a cleaner, more professional game which clearly has had a lot of thought put into it. Bad Company 2 as you see from the case is a squad game, notoriously based on the online community and from the minute you turn on the game it's like they want to jump in the action right away.

The gameplay is a refreshing lift from the original, with smoother controls and accurate gun-handling, while not taking away from the realistic shooting and running. But you don't notice it; most likely you've been victim to a mortar strike or a helicopter air raid before you even know your surroundings. However this does not make the game suffer, in fact it makes it more realistic and gives you an urge to forget what you know from other FPS's, and puts you into the situation with a gun in your hand and the resolve to blow the enemies head off.

The maps are big, with so much action going on all around you don't know where anything is coming from. This can be frustrating when hit by a rouge sniper bullet or explosive but you feel immersed in the action. But typically people aren't used to this much space and the long running to the frontlines might bore some of the more impatient gamers. Which may also lead to fuming at your screen when you die almost instantly, but this is because this is not Call of duty or Counter Strike; Tactics are the primary element of the game and running in `Rambo' will almost certainly get you killed.

There are four classes of soldier; Assault, Medic, Sniper and Engineer, each with their own guns and abilities; for example the Medic carries an LMG and unlocks equipment to aid your squad. The gun variety is limited at the start, with only a handful to choose from in each class and them being quite weak. But with many customised attachments and abilities it makes you feel unique to a hundred others. But this is also a bad point, throughout the game you earn points and level up, thus leading to unlocking more guns. However without including the Special weapons or World War 2 re-makes the choices become sparse and within 20 hours of gameplay you've unlocked all the guns for each class and all the equipment. But it will be a very exciting 20 hours.

The limitations do not end there though; although map packs are being released there are only 8 maps to choose from. With only 2 gametypes; Rush and Conquest, it has quite a small re-play value depending on how good you are. Yes there are smaller versions of the two which are in squad battles; this does add some diverse gameplay but hardly makes up for the lack of gametypes.

Another nice feature is `My Stats', here you can see everything you've ever done in the game, ever. You're scores with any class, the number of kills your gun has and the weapon you are most prolific with. Also your awards and dog tags, especially those of your friends, are great to brag with.

Depending on what time of gamer you are, you will enjoy this game more. If you're a dedicated COD player then you might find the linear maps and clunky controls too much to handle and should only buy this game for the element of something new in the destructive environments. However, if you're an open-minded person who enjoys a new challenge then I strongly recommend this game as the price is dropping dramatically. As this game is custom built for online in every way.
I'm giving Bad Company 2, a very good 8/10. The gameplay is smooth and great to play, but the limited maps and easily unlocked guns make the game have a small replay value.

5 out of 5 stars Bad company 2   August 13, 2010
flash
Bad company 2 is a great game and will give you hours of fun, weather that be solo or online you will not be dissapointed. The solo campian to be very honest i have not really played much of but what i have played is very entertaining. Where you will spend most of your time will be in multi-player, This mode will offer you can play a choice of conquest.
The classic gameplay of the Battlefield series. Players must capture and defend flags for as long as possible. If a base is taken, it can be recaptured, and the cycle can repeat until the game's end.
Rush.Players must defend or destroy pairs of M-COM stations until either the attackers run out of respawn tickets or all of the stations are destroyed.
Squad Rush.Squad Rush is similar to ordinary Rush, but consists of only two squads, one defending and the other attacking.
Onslaught. One squad of up to four players faces an onslaught of enemy AI soldiers.
plus squad deathmatch Up to four squads roam the map, and an infantry support vehicle is available for the squad who can capture it. The first squad to score fifty kills wins the match. All in all it is a great game with lots of fun to be had for all. a must buy.
