great roll playing excitement if you can master the controls i found it quite hard to master the control of your main character good graphics and a must for roll playing gamers
2 is better than one June 6, 2010 Mrs. Mary Penman (marymaj) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
having previously owned assassins creed 1 and being very dissappointed in it, it was far to repetetive. i decided to give creed 2 a go after reading the reviews. what a different experience there is more choice of missions, faster paced with better characters who have much better moves. i would definetely recommend it you wont be dissapointed.
Game Review ACII June 5, 2010 J. A. Chowdhury 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Assassin's Creed II is a very fun game, I would highly recommend to anyone to play it. Word of warning, the game is a very long game average 25-30 hours of gameplay needed to finish the game. If you're used to a shorter game, then maybe this isn't the game for you. But for any other gameer, this is a must, a legend in the making.
Excellent Game June 2, 2010 JM (Norfolk, UK) In a nutshell, I strongly recommend this game!
I lost interest in the first Assassins Creed due to it's horribly repetitive nature, though I loved the graphics, controls, gameplay and cinematics.
This second version no longer suffers from the repetitive gameplay of the first, and it manages to retain all the good points and add a few more.
The old favourite "leap of faith" is unchanged, so somehow fails to amaze me as much as it did the first time I saw it, but there are more of them around which works for me - you can now leap off the roof of a building and into a haystack whilst running from guards.
As already mentioned, controls are intuitive, the free-running works well, etc etc... I finished the game in about 10 or 12 hours, so it's a decent length too.
If I had to criticise, I'd say that the combat system wasn't quite as visually appealing as before - I seemed to get more close-ups of the action before which looked superb, though that might just be down to my controlling. Also, it might be just a little too easy to "blend in" now.
Additions for this game include dying your clothes for new looks, heaps of weapons & armour upgrades, upgraded hidden blades, reducing your "notoriety" and the interesting upkeep of your home villa (the latter not essential to completion, but it adds to the games diversity), and they all add positively to the game in my opinion.
As before, the modern day angle to the story line is somewhat pointless and adds nothing, but that's not the reason for buying the game!
If you're interested in strategic/stealth games, this ones definitely worth a look. And at £17, the price when I bought it, it's a steal.
One of the best games for PS3 May 25, 2010 Radu Munteanu (Iai, România) Not much to say:
Story: 10
Graphics: 9.7
Environment: 10
Gameplay: 9.8
Overall: 10 (yes, I'm still giving it a ten, overall, because it is a very good polished game, 99,9 % bug free, with a great story, great characters and environment replica.
