Bluetooth headset ps3 July 30, 2010 J. Fernandez (UK) Why would someone buy a bluetooth headset?
They would buy it to have more fun on wireless games by being able to talk to their friends, or by being able to help people on first person shooters like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3). Or they just wanted to play Tom Clancy's End War (PS3).
What makes this better than a wired headset?
You don't have all the wire problems. It's easier to use.
The sony bluetooth headset allows you to speak to someone else clearly. It also lets you mute your mic and stop people listening in. You can aswell as this change the volume of other speakers, speaking into their mics.
They are relatively comfortable and easily stored and charged.
Because it comes with a cradle it can be stored and charged without lieing around, and in turn getting broken.
It can be used for phones, and computers if needed, so it will make phoning while driving easier. It can also be charged where ever you find a USB socket as it is charged with the same cable as a DualShock 3 PS3 controller (PS3). You do not have to charge it in the cradle as there is a socket at the top of the earpiece.
The charge lasts a long time, and as long as you charge it a bit after use then you will never run out of charge. The first charge however, you will have to charge it for a couple of hours.
You can easily install the software too. All you need to do is plug it in for the first time and it will have installed within a second.
For any readers out there that agree with me please say the review was helpful.
Thx
Joel
Great hardware, but badly designed. July 16, 2010 C. Howard (London, UK) Ok, just to clear it up, the hardware is brilliant, very clear quality in a chat and clear enough to easily hear your friend in a game.
At the moment the only problem im having is it keeps cutting out, however that is probably due to the internet connection.
The big draw back on this headset is that it doesnt seem to fit all ears, I have to swap ears every half an hour because it starts to hurt, and after a good 3+ hour session i need to take it off, quiet badly. It does have a standing mic setting, but i find this really muffled and my friend cant hear a word im saying, might just be my room or the distance i have it from my chair, but i found that irritating.
All in all, it feels like the person who made this took the best hardware they could use, but then forgot that this has to actually go in a small COMFORTABLE box in someones ear. Pitty.
I would recomend getting the sony wireless headphones for their MP3 players, the ones i got with my MP3 came set up for bluetooth and a mic for use with a phone, They're both ears however so it muffles your gameplay out a bit. Does anyone else miss the days of split screen with a friend on most games?
Really fantastic... June 29, 2010 ColonelClueless (United Kingdom) This product for the PS3 is absolutely amazing. I have recently been using this for Red Dead Redemption online, and it works perfectly fine, sound is very clear and no fuzzy-ness in the background when speaking. Unfortunately, because I wear glasses and I have to wear my glasses on top of it, obviously but it does sometimes gets a little bit uncomfortable. But, my brother, who doesn't wear glasses, tried it on and says its really good, and comfortable for him. And on top of all that, its really easy to handle.
Bad headphone. June 20, 2010 Jordan Mclean (UK) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a xbox player and I am used to COMFY headsets. These ones just hurt after 5 minutes. The sound quality is very bad aswell in game. I just do not like it..
sony ps3 headset June 17, 2010 Aa Miah (london, uk) Sony Wireless Headset (PS3)easy to connect, crystal clear sound and easy to charge and set-up, value for money wise easily worth it without having to worry about silly set-up procedures. very comfortable on the ear and can switch to any ear you want. overall very high quality product. Also has mute feature allowing you to have private convos without anyone else over the ps3 network listening in.
