Compatible unbranded item... beware! September 3, 2010 R. Molyneux I ordered from 256accessories (AKA K2 Kommunications) and received an unbranded compatible product, if I'd wanted a cheap compatible I would have paid half the price! With an 89%, 4.5 star supplier rating I expected a genuine item not a knock-off, I guess I'm in for a lot of trouble now reading their feedback - "item was not at all as expected and it took a lot of emails to get seller to take it back...".
As described and worked.. what else is there to say? August 29, 2010 Mark See title. I mean, it's a good controller but there's only so much you can say!
PS3 Controller August 14, 2010 Scully The controller is fine, was only bought to replace a broken one so knew it would be ok. I know the point of the controller is that it's wireless, however you would think that a charging USB cable would be included. Luckily, the cable for my old one still works, but for the price would it hurt to include one?
Dualshock or is it sixaxis July 30, 2010 J. Fernandez (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
At this point in time you are probably wondering, "should I get sixaxis or Dualshock remotes?", these are the same things so don't be fooled by amazon putting them under different titles.
Basically dualshock are the vibrating part of the controller and sixaxis is the bit that allows you on some games to move the remote around to interact with some games for example LittleBigPlanet (PS3). These features are great except people think that they are completely different remotes. When you get your remote (if you eventually do) then it says on the back "sixaxis" and below that "dualshock".
These remotes are wireless, which is handy because it means they don't get tangled up. But if you run out of charge midgame and you really don't want to stop playing just get the usb cable that will fit into your camera, or the one that came with your ps3 and plug it in, and then your game shall resume.
It is very high quality and it is comfortable in the hand. Also the "L2" and "R2" buttons are slightly more trigger like than the old ps2 controllers that wouldn't work on your ps3 anyway. So that would improve gameplay on some first person shooters.
It is very easy to use so you won't have any trouble navigating on the ps3 opening lobby and games will tell you what to do in them anyway.
By using the middle button you can do lots, like turning off the console/remote and changing remotes.
So I recommend out of all the controllers the DUALSHOCK/SIXAXIS remote.
If you think I helped or you agree with me please press the "it helped" button any problems leave a comment.
Thx
Joel
Let's get ready to rumble! July 23, 2010 R. Lewis (UK) I can no longer use a six axis controller after getting used to this baby, the vibration adds another dimension to the game. It's excellent.
